In this episode of Tales from the Heart, Lisa talks to Dr. Martin Maron, the Director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center at Tufts Medical Center and Associate Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. His specialties include cardiac imagining, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. In this episode Dr. Maron talks with Lisa about why HCM is so poorly misunderstood. Lisa also reads questions from the live Facebook chat for Dr. Maron to answer. They have been friends since early childhood and reflect on the day Lisa was first diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Julie also talks about her son David who is on the Autism spectrum and her experience raising and taking care of him. You will see why Julie is such a great fit for the HCMA community and how she is truly part of the bighearted family!
