In this episode of Tales from the Heart, Lisa talks to Dr. Martin Maron, the Director of the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center at Tufts Medical Center and Associate Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. His specialties include cardiac imaging, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. In this episode Dr. Maron talks about cardiac imaging in HCM, the history of HCM treatment and diagnosis, the purpose and usefulness of an echocardiogram, contrast echocardiogram, normal values for wall thickness, obstruction, heart murmur, cardiac MRI, and more.
